Description
Original print by Félix MEYNET, signed and numbered 09/35 by the artist. Sold framed and under glass.
This black and white work captures an elegant scene where two women are in a sophisticated interior, probably a living room. The refined architecture of the moldings and large windows convey a classic and luxurious atmosphere. One of the women is seated, appearing to play the piano, while the other, standing, observes her with a confident attitude. The clean and precise lines of the drawing add a modern graphic dimension to the whole. The artist has masterfully used the contrast between black and white to accentuate the architectural and clothing details, creating a captivating visual tension. The expressions of the characters, although subtle, suggest an intimate and mysterious interaction. The work, soberly framed, fits harmoniously into any space, inviting the viewer to imagine the story behind this scene frozen in time.
Presentation
Félix Meynet is a French comic strip author and former ski instructor, born November 26, 1961 in Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny. Based in Bellevaux, in Haute-Savoie, he notably created the series Fanfoué des Pnottas, where his characters are part of his region: of popular inspiration, they make fun of tourists, but also local people... His wife Dominique helps with the coloring of the albums.
Meynet also draws several series, including Les Eternels and Sauvage, scripted by Yann. Sauvage and in particular its fifth volume released at the beginning of 2020 earned it very positive reviews.
