Description
Original print by Félix MEYNET, signed and numbered 50/100 by the artist. Sold framed and under glass.
This captivating work captures a timeless Parisian scene. In the foreground, an elegantly dressed woman stands leaning against a lamppost, sporting a colorful dress with bold and eccentric ruffles. Her confident demeanor is accentuated by a nonchalant pose, holding a cigarette. In the background, the Eiffel Tower stands majestically, emphasizing the iconic atmosphere of Paris. Next to a vintage car, a uniformed chauffeur stands, adding a retro touch to the scene. The use of bright colors draws the eye, while the graphic style evokes classic comic book illustrations. This harmonious composition blends nostalgia and modernity, transporting the viewer to a bygone era while celebrating the eternal elegance of Paris. The scene subtly embodies the charm and romance associated with the French capital.
Presentation
Félix Meynet is a French comic strip author and former ski instructor, born November 26, 1961 in Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny. Based in Bellevaux, in Haute-Savoie, he notably created the series Fanfoué des Pnottas, where his characters are part of his region: of popular inspiration, they make fun of tourists, but also local people... His wife Dominique helps with the coloring of the albums.
Meynet also draws several series, including Les Eternels and Sauvage, scripted by Yann. Sauvage and in particular its fifth volume released at the beginning of 2020 earned it very positive reviews.
