Description
This sculpture highlights the raw beauty of a fragment of wood frozen in bronze, where every grain tells the story of time. Its natural forms, sometimes soft, sometimes sharp, invite contemplation of the original power of nature. The contrast of warm tones and metallic nuances underscores the meeting between living material and the artist's work.

Presentation
The spirit of wood gravitates around Romain Tiercin. A grandfather who was a carpenter and a companion of duty ensures a rigorous transmission intimately associated with the carefree nature of family vacations. The precious hours in his grandfather's workshop make his DNA vibrate. It was when he became a father that Romain Tiercin questioned his own freedom to become a man: what to choose to transmit? He then left the oppressive mold of a managerial career to fully embrace his thirst for creativity.
His art emerges from the plant, his hands become architects of balance, the artist and the wood mix their breath of life and death, a paradox of our human condition of which bronze becomes the immortal messenger.
" Nature is omnipresent in my work. My days rise and set on the Pyrenees, an inexhaustible source of inspiration, precious well-being. Taking the time to observe nature, breathe it, touch it and let yourself be touched by its beauty, is to put a capital letter to the verb Live. "
Romain Tiercin spends entire days and nights creating, breaking, starting over before obtaining his first works. He thinks and manufactures the key elements of his workshop and foundry himself. The sculptor deploys an extraordinary energy to set the bar ever higher and his creations reflect this: " It has to pop ". Today, Romain Tiercin is giving a new direction to bronze sculpture, with monumental, modern and innovative approaches that his imagination alone cannot limit him to.
