Description
Meet the sculptor Pere Sala exclusively at the Circo gallery in Honfleur (France) and Knokke (Belgium).
This captivating sculpture depicts a dancer in full motion, suspended in dynamic balance on a cylindrical base. The graceful outstretched arms and one raised leg convey a sense of freedom and energy. The surface texture, with its shades of green and ochre, enhances the effects of the bronze patina, adding an intriguing visual depth. The dancer's elaborate, precisely sculpted chignon accentuates the elegance of her posture. Her slender silhouette evokes an almost ethereal lightness, while the cast shadow magnifies her visual impact. This masterpiece embodies the celebration of human grace, capturing the essence of movement in a three-dimensional form, and establishing a harmonious dialogue between space, light, and the moving body.
Presentation
Pere Sala presents a work of classical root but with very contemporary connotations, both in terms of the theme and the great dynamism of its compositions.
His bronzes remind us of the great masters of the 19th century, due to their great mastery of technique, finishes and patinae. The artist wisely models female and male bodies in equilibrium positions but never forced, capturing with great delicacy the energy, beauty and indolence of youth until it reaches the viewer's emotion.
