Description
This striking sculpture depicts a woman seated in an elegant and serene pose. Crafted with remarkable finesse in patinated Bollène stoneware, it employs an earthy palette that accentuates the warmth and timelessness of the work. Her facial expression evokes inner peace, while her relaxed body, with crossed legs, speaks of natural grace. The meticulously sculpted details of her hair, which cascades like a crown around her head, add a captivating visual dynamism. The artist has skillfully captured a harmony between strength and vulnerability, evoking a profound connection with nature and humanity. Every curve and line reflects expert craftsmanship, making each viewpoint rich in interpretation. It is an ode to feminine beauty and power, celebrated in its majestic simplicity.
Presentation
Elisabeth and Régis
Four-handed sculptures
From clay, I imagine, I shape my creation: "the woman". During this particular exchange a dialogue is established between the earth and me, a form will come to life which will find its expression through my hands.
Régis, for his part, will ensure its durability through very gradual cooking that will protect the integrity of the clay. A patina will give it a light make-up, like a woman would make herself beautiful.
This is how our sandstone and bronze sculptures are made by four hands.
Passion that we love to share.
