Description
This captivating sculpture depicts a seated human figure, lost in deep introspection. Created from patinated GECH 30 stoneware fired at 1240°C, the work is distinguished by its sinuous lines and introspective posture. The figure, its body bent forward, rests its head on its hand, expressing intense contemplation. The textured and irregular surface treatment lends the piece an organic dynamism, accentuated by a subtle blue-grey patina. The meticulous details, particularly in the modeling of the fingers and face, demonstrate great technical mastery. The raw and moving aspect of the sculpture evokes a universal vulnerability, inviting the viewer to reflect on the human condition. The harmony between form and texture makes this sculpture a work of powerful emotional and visual presence.

Four-handed sculptures
From clay, I imagine, I shape my creation: "the woman". During this particular exchange a dialogue is established between the earth and me, a form will come to life which will find its expression through my hands.
Régis, for his part, will ensure its durability through very gradual cooking that will protect the integrity of the clay. A patina will give it a light make-up, like a woman would make herself beautiful.
This is how our sandstone and bronze sculptures are made by four hands.
