Description
The Lyon artist revisits childhood with a contemporary view. This resin sculpture détourns the reassuring image of the teddy bear to explore the codes of luxury.
The saturated orange dominates the composition. White, graphic lines come to segment the silhouette.
The style is in line with Pop Art and Street Art. The artist plays on the contrast between the softness of the subject and the rigor of the symbols.
Dark splashes are scattered across the surface. They bring a raw dimension to the object.
The aesthetic evokes the codes of fashion and prestige brands. This approach questions our relationship to consumption and social signs.
The object combines technical precision and an urban spirit. The white details stand out clearly against the colored background.
The piece rests on a stable base. It has a glossy finish that accentuates the saturation of the pigment.
Presentation
Naor is a French artist from Lyon born in 1988. Completely anchored in his time, he has always traveled a lot around the world. If travels form youth, Naor was inspired by it. From the top of his thirty years, he succeeded in retranscribing his observations, his feelings and his impressions. Thanks to his childlike supports, his contemporary details, he achieves a delicious harmony between softness and violence. This discrepancy constitutes his identity. Like life, marked by hardship, his works refer us to our own experiences. Finally, the use of luxury brands in a spirit of "Pop'art" allows him to pay homage or to denounce the way our societies function. Naor interprets the world with his child's eyes.
