Description
This terracotta sculpture stands out for its raw presence. The form rises like a totem, oscillating between abstraction and the evocation of a bust. The work of the material favors touch. Each hollow and each relief testifies to an instinctive dialogue with the clay.
The deep blue envelops the piece in a dreamlike atmosphere. This shade saturates the surface and highlights the irregularities of the texture. The modeling favors intuition over geometric precision.
The minimalist approach strips the figure of any superfluous detail. It invites reflection on identity and sensory perception. The mass seems organic, almost alive.
This piece explores the notion of interiority. It offers a tactile journey where the sight fades before the physical feeling. The rough aspect of the terracotta contrasts with the fluidity of the blue color.
Presentation
My sculptural work stems from a radical transformation of my perception of the world and my inner reconstruction.
Having become completely blind at the age of twenty-five following a road traffic accident, I had to let go of my visual perception and shift it towards a tactile experience.
Through touch, the material has become a space for direct, physical and sensual dialogue. Clay, through its texture, consistency and grain, guides my hands towards an intuitive, instinctive and deeply emotional creative process. It is no longer merely a material: it is a living presence, a creative partner, a necessity.
My creations do not merely represent forms; they tell a story and explore our relationship with the body, identity and perception.
My intention is to convey a universal message, inviting us to look beyond appearances to gain a deeper understanding of the human condition.
