Description
This bronze sculpture explores the female form and suggests a journey of discovery and calm.
The artist favors instinct and touch to shape the material. The work moves away from classical representation towards abstraction. The surfaces are worked with a marked tactile sensitivity.
The aspect of the material emphasizes the fragility and strength of the subject. The rendering of the pitted bronze brings a sobriety that concentrates the gaze on the volumes.
The whole invites reflection on the perception of the body and identity.
Presentation
My sculptural work stems from a radical transformation of my perception of the world and my inner reconstruction.
Having become completely blind at the age of twenty-five following a road traffic accident, I had to let go of my visual perception and shift it towards a tactile experience.
Through touch, the material has become a space for direct, physical and sensual dialogue. Clay, through its texture, consistency and grain, guides my hands towards an intuitive, instinctive and deeply emotional creative process. It is no longer merely a material: it is a living presence, a creative partner, a necessity.
My creations do not merely represent forms; they tell a story and explore our relationship with the body, identity and perception.
My intention is to convey a universal message, inviting us to look beyond appearances to gain a deeper understanding of the human condition.
