Description
Medium*: 3D Acrylic-Resin Sculptural Relief, Color-Shifting Pigment
Inventory ID: AAG-MR-2024-BOS-001
Edition / Set Of: Unique
Dimensions: 50 × 70 cm, depth 5 cm. Each piece is personally mounted and installed by the artist herself, with an integrated hanging system. As a free-form sculptural relief with no fixed top or bottom, the work can be displayed in 4 different orientations — each revealing a distinct character as light moves across the color-shifting surface, from deep teal calm to vivid chartreuse energy. Backed by Abstract Art Gallery's lifetime guarantee.
Breath of the Sea dispenses with the rectangle entirely — dozens of undulating, wave-like ridges rise from a free-form, irregularly cut panel, finished in a shifting iridescent pigment reading as deep teal-blue or luminous chartreuse-green depending on the light. The composition recalls coral formations or a shoal of fish caught mid-turn.
Markings: Signed on the front ("R.Maria"). Reverse bears a handwritten poem, technique, year, dimensions, edition number, and artist signature.
Size Notes: Free-form sculptural panel, no frame, irregular cut edge. Ready to hang.
Presentation
Maria Ruisi is a contemporary artist whose work explores balance, light, and depth through abstraction and wall sculpture. Her pieces reside at the boundary between painting and sculpture, where matter comes alive to dialogue with architectural space.
Trained in arts and design in Latvia, Maria Ruisi develops a rigorous practice informed by her background in engineering and visual perception research. This dual approach provides her work with a powerful contemporary presence and profound aesthetic coherence. Each creation is a unique, hand-crafted piece, where sculpted reliefs and pigments interact with light to reveal subtle variations throughout the day. Designed as silent presences, her works enhance prestigious environments, ranging from private collections to interior design and luxury hospitality projects.
