In my work, I capture not events but states, not narrative but duration, inviting a slowed presence and a way of inhabiting space rather than moving toward a goal.
Biography
The painter and sculptor Egor Plotnikov was born in Kirov (Russia) in 1980. Member of the Union of Artists of Moscow. Participating in exhibitions since 1994, notably in Russia, Italy, Belgium, England, Germany, United States, Denmark and Sweden.
His works are part of private collections in Russia and other countries, as well as in the collections of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian Culture Foundation, the Union of Moscow Artists and Regional Museums of Russia. He takes part in the ranking of the 100 best contemporary Russian artists.
