Presentation
Dini is an impressionist artist who studied Art and Design at Manchester Metropolitan University, Visual Communication at the University of Central England in Birmingham and Guidance and Counselling in Durham.
Her love for art and inspiration come mostly from nature as well as her travelling abroad. In her work, Dini tries to give character to the colours that will arise the emotions of the viewer. In her compositions, the contrast and the intensity of the colours dominate vividly.
Impressionist artists such as Vincent van Gogh and Edward Manet, have greatly influenced Dini’s work. Her aim is to inspire a feeling of the unseen world, which only exists if we believe in it.
Dini’s paintings represent mainly abstract or imaginative landscapes and images of nature, painted with oil in different layers. Colours, shapes and emotions are what really guide her while creating her paintings. The artist uses oil paints, spatulas and brushes, and with a combination of different movements, she gradually creates her pieces. Each of her work is unique and cannot be repeated.
After returning back to Cyprus in 1998, she has participated in many group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad and has held seven solo exhibitions in Cyprus. During her last solo exhibition in 2025, visitors expressed with enthusiasm how her paintings caused them various intense emotions.
Moreover, Dini participated in the International Art fair in Oxford and Amsterdam in 2017. The artist’s ability to stir emotions and excitement through her paintings are accentuated by her authentic painting style allowing her to create unique and unforgettable experiences to the viewers.
