This sculpture explores the impact of extreme body modifications by two ancient cultures in Africa: the Mangbetu of the Congo, who practiced intentional cranial deformation, elongating the skull as a symbol of status and beauty, evoking a connection to something higher; and the Ndebele women, known as “ostrich necks," who used metal rings to stylize their bodies, transforming the neck into a symbol of grace and belonging. Both traditions shared a longing: to approximate ideals of beauty and power that were perhaps inspired by ancient gods. This work poses a provocative question: What would happen if both modifications coexisted in a single female body? The result is a being that challenges our notion of humanity, evoking shapes and proportions that seem otherworldly. But what if these “otherworldly" figures were the referents that inspired these practices? Who really were the ancient gods that defined our concepts of beauty and perfection? Are the bust of Nefertiti, or that of Akhenaten's daughter, clues that suggest an extraordinary intervention in our past, beyond what we understand as human?

Toni Caimari, also known as "Nino", is a visionary creator whose work transcends artistic conventions and delves into a unique realm of spirituality, exploring the mystery of the afterlife and the heavens through his expressions in sculpture, painting and artistic performances.Caimari stands out for the importance he places on self-learning, which he has forged throughout his creative journey. His deep commitment to spirituality permeates each work, providing the viewer with an experience that goes beyond the visual to touch the soul. In her sculptures and paintings, Toni Caimari manages to capture the essence of the ethereal, exploring the relationship between the tangible world and the mysterious spiritual realm. Each work is a window into her unique perception of the connection between art and transcendence. Toni's work is notable for its innovative approach to artistic levitation through the use of powerful magnets. This revolutionary technique, which he himself developed, creates a unique illusion of floating that defies gravity and allows the viewer to immerse themselves in a contemplative and almost mystical state. This self-taught artist uses levitation not only as an aesthetic means, but also as a metaphor for spiritual elevation. The fusion of the tangible and the intangible in his works reflects his deep belief in the connection between art and spirituality.
In addition, Toni Caimari shapes a new artistic movement that he himself calls "Imantism" or "Artistic Imantism". This movement represents not only technical innovation, but also a philosophy that embraces the idea that art can rise above physical limitations and connect with the divine. Through his work, he seeks to inspire and provoke reflection on dimensions beyond the visible. His ability to merge visual aesthetics and spirituality makes him a pioneer in creating artistic experiences that go beyond the ordinary. We are pleased to present the unique and captivating universe of Toni Caimari, a creator who challenges the conventional boundaries of art and invites us to explore the limits of our perception.
