Working drawing for the sculpture project.

Drawing is an integral part of my research into forms. In each project, it plays as important a role as clay models in defining the forms.

The Metamorphs project brings together three monumental sculptures: dance, demand and tiresias, around the transformation of the body, shifting identities and forms of resistance.
Made from pallet wood, these works explore metamorphosis as a space of freedom, fragility and power.

A form wavers, splits in two, reassembles. Between several bodies, several identities, several possible balances. The supports are fragile, sometimes broken, but something persists: a drive for movement, for transformation, for survival. The bodies dance despite the fractures. They draw closer, slip away, resist what would freeze them. Each viewpoint reveals another interpretation. Identity becomes fluid, relative, elusive, shaped as much by the gaze as by the material itself.
To exist in space. To inhabit imbalance. To reject imposed boundaries. Forms emerge without ever fully revealing their certainties.
Bodies, perhaps. Presences, certainly.

To support the project, a crowdfunding campaign has been launched.
