Working drawing for the sculpture project.

Drawing is an integral part of my exploration of forms. For each project, it plays just as major a role as clay models in defining shapes.

The project Les Métamorphes (The Metamorphosts) brings together three monumental sculptures: la danse (the dance), la demande (the request), and tirésias (tiresias), centered around bodily transformation, shifting identities, and forms of resistance. Crafted from pallet wood, these works question metamorphosis as a space of freedom, fragility, and power.

In Sophocles' time, Tiresias was the only mortal to have experienced "sexual metamorphosis." Here, the figure turns inside out, overturns, and stretches: verticality becomes horizontal, and interpretation wavers. Inspired by the act of turning inside out, the form escapes all permanence and challenges what we think we see. Top, bottom, limbs, genders: everything blends, everything recomposes. The sculpture becomes a field of active ambiguities, where the audience's gaze participates in activating its meaning. The body splits in two and reflects upon itself. It is a dream, tension, dysphoria, and an apparition. Neither defined nor definitive: it becomes possible, traversed, and prophetic.
