Description
ATACAMA, by Fanny Finkelman Szyller Polished metal, oxides, and pigments on wood Dimensions: 28 H x 28 W x 4 D cm. This precious landscape is all the result of the exploration of small pieces of metal intervening with different acids that the artist has finished with color pigments and gold powder.
This artwork is a striking mixed-media piece featuring a circular form set within a deep black square frame. The circular focal point presents a serene landscape where a muted sky seamlessly meets an earthy terrain. The ground is textured with rich, rusty brown tones, punctuated by vivid orange accents that suggest subtle movement or the warmth of a sunset. The smooth surface of the upper portion contrasts with the roughness below, creating an engaging dichotomy. This piece uniquely combines minimalism with tactile elements, inviting viewers to reflect on the interplay between natural elements and abstract representation. The frame’s depth adds a dimensional quality, enhancing the artwork’s captivating allure.
Presentation
Fanny Finkelman's sculptures are the result of a continuing exploration of the many materials that the artist has worked with over the years.
The three-dimensional artists' sculptures are full of transparency by the combination of various materials and objects that have been thrown away. Adding color to each piece is essential, but in the aesthetic context that controls the final form.
This precious landscape is all the result of the exploration of small pieces of metal intervened with different acids that the artist finished with color pigments and gold dust.
