Assembler Naranja N°2, 2021

Fanny Finkelman Szyller

Assembler Naranja N°2. Wall sculpture Acrylics, aluminum, screws, and painted metal ring on aluminum Dimensions: 40 H x 40 W x 9 D cm.

This striking artwork presents a dynamic interplay of geometric shapes and industrial elements, set against a bold, black background. A vibrant orange circle dominates the composition, providing a vivid contrast that draws the viewer’s gaze. Centrally placed, a metallic object sits atop a skewed square platform, introducing a tactile, industrial element that adds depth and intrigue. Encircling the center is a thin, copper-colored ring, creating layers that guide the eye inward with precision and balance. The use of contrasting colors and mixed materials renders a modern aesthetic, while the careful arrangement of shapes suggests harmony and tension. The simplicity and boldness of the design compel the viewer to appreciate the beauty found in the intersection of industrial and abstract art forms.

Fanny Finkelman's sculptures are the result of a continuing exploration of the many materials that the artist has worked with over the years. The three-dimensional artists' sculptures are full of transparency by the combination of various materials and objects that have been thrown away. Adding color to each piece is essential, but in the aesthetic context that controls the final form.
