Assembler Naranja N°1, 2021

Fanny Finkelman Szyller

Assembler Naranja N°3. Wall sculpture Acrylics, aluminum, screws, and painted metal ring on aluminum Dimensions: 40 H x 40 W x 8 D cm.

This artwork is a striking example of geometric abstraction, commanding attention with its bold composition and contrasting textures. Dominating the center is a vivid orange circle, energetically capturing the viewer's focus. Surrounding this central circle is a raw, industrial black ring, exuding a rugged texture that contrasts sharply with the smoothness of the background. Atop the vibrant orange core sits a metallic square platform, providing a stark surface for the coiled spring that rises from its center. The spring, suggestive of tension and potential energy, introduces a dynamic, three-dimensional element. The encompassing gray circular frame adds balance, enhancing the piece's harmony. This artwork brilliantly juxtaposes color, material, and form, creating a compelling visual narrative that challenges perceptions of depth and dimensionality.

Fanny Finkelman's sculptures are the result of a continuing exploration of the many materials that the artist has worked with over the years. The three-dimensional artists' sculptures are full of transparency by the combination of various materials and objects that have been thrown away. Adding color to each piece is essential, but in the aesthetic context that controls the final form.
