Bouleau - Loving trees N°4, 2022

Aurélie Trabaud   New & remarkable Artists

This work takes the form of a vertical triptych dedicated to birch trees, each of the three panels revealing a distinct facet of this tree. The first panel highlights the bark, its subtle texture rendered through a delicate interplay of gray and pink. The second panel opens onto a dense forest: the slender trunks, punctuated by black and white patterns, stand out sharply against a canopy teeming with luminous greens. The third panel focuses on the delicate foliage, where the intertwined branches introduce a light and vibrant visual dynamism. Through the mastery of color, texture, and geometric patterns, the artist creates a serene harmony between structure and nature, inviting meditative contemplation and celebrating the complex beauty of birch trees.

This piece follows in the tradition of the artist's triptychs dedicated to tree species, created with a deliberately limited palette. The artwork is executed in watercolor on 300gsm 100% cotton paper, measuring 30.5 x 45.5 cm, with a 1 cm white border. The colors are applied with a brush. It is signed with initials on the front and with a full signature on the back. The piece is mounted in a 3 mm mat with three cut-out windows, painted with white acrylic, bringing the overall dimensions to 50 x 70 cm. Finally, the artwork is presented under glass in a light brown aluminum frame with a wood-like finish, providing an elegant and contemporary look.
