History of the work:
This abstract work evokes a poetic cartography where the melting of the ice pack is observed from the sky. The black and white lines draw moving contours, recalling the fractures and crevasses of disappearing ice. The lower part, bathed in blueish hues, represents the water resulting from the melting, contrasting with the gray and textured areas that translate the residual icy masses of the Arctic Circle.
The materials used—ash mixed with acrylic paint—create deep, textured grays, giving the work both an aesthetic and symbolic dimension. This organic and mineral material highlights the fragility of the white blanket that covers these extreme territories and raises awareness of the impact of global warming on these changing landscapes.
Shipping conditions:
It is shipped flat in a cardboard box.
The packaging is reinforced, the corners are also protected.
