Description
This abstract work deploys a bold palette of dark greens, punctuated by vibrant bursts of red. The vertical forms, reminiscent of skyscrapers, rise with monumental force, contrasting with the dynamic splashes of red that add a palpable tension to the whole. The varied texture of the brushstrokes creates a subtle sense of movement, like a city pulsating with energy. The depth of the blue hues instills an atmosphere of contemplative mystery, while the red accents immediately captivate the eye. The skillfully controlled interplay of light lends the work a remarkable three-dimensionality. This composition, rich in contrasts and nuances, challenges the viewer with its balance between chaos and structure, capturing the essence of a modern metropolis.
Presentation
From my life in Haute-Savoie on the shores of Lake Geneva to the Périgord Vert region where I settled in 2017, nothing predestined me for artistic creation. And yet, it was a part of destiny that led me to create my first canvases, and to want to do nothing else but paint, again and again.
A skills assessment helped me understand that art was the path to explore. The support process was lengthy because, being hard of hearing, I had lost all confidence in myself and my ability to achieve professional fulfillment. By instilling in me the necessary confidence to take the plunge, the artist within me was awakened!
A self-taught painter since 2021, abstract art naturally became my medium, thanks to the complete freedom it gives me to never restrict myself and to let my hand work. I paint spontaneously!
It is in the solitude of my studio that my canvases become what they decide to be...
