Description
This intriguing work presents a poignant portrait of a child's face, bathed in delicate shades of turquoise and pink. The intense black background contrasts beautifully with the splashes of vibrant color, creating a captivating visual tension. The rich texture of the paint, with its thick layers and fluid drips, captures the raw emotion and vulnerability of the subject. The large, expressive eyes form the focal point, conveying poignant depth and introspection. The artist has masterfully blended abstraction and realism, rendering this piece both mysterious and accessible. This masterpiece transcends the simple portrait to evoke universal themes of innocence and fragility, while prompting the viewer to intimate reflection.
Presentation
Self-taught painter Myriam Bourianne explores art as a realm of freedom. Free from academic constraints, she has built her universe on experimentation and a dialogue with materials. Her work defies categorization: from expressive faces to landscapes, from vibrant flowers to abstract compositions, she seeks above all to capture the essence of emotion. To bring her visions to life, she layers and blends acrylics, pigments, and ink, creating plays of transparency and depth. The use of materials is central to her approach: she sculpts the paint as much as she applies it. Each canvas is an invitation to experience the poetry of the moment.
