Description
The intuitive approach guides this figurative composition. A child's face emerges from a neutral gray background. The gaze is soft. The cheeks are illuminated with rosy touches.
The material asserts itself generously. The artist superimposes layers of acrylic and pigments. The red garment expresses itself through thick and spontaneous strokes. The relief sculpts the surface of the canvas.
On the right, a contrast strikes the eye. A fine, graphic black line draws a minimalist silhouette. This slender figure seems to dialogue with the central figure.
An organic shape floats in the upper corner. It brings a touch of chromatic softness. The whole plays on the balance between precise drawing and tactile abstraction.
This mixed media painting dates from 2022. It captures the essence of childhood through free gesture. Each impasto emphasizes the search for an immediate emotion.
Presentation
Self-taught painter Myriam Bourianne explores art as a realm of freedom. Free from academic constraints, she has built her universe on experimentation and a dialogue with materials. Her work defies categorization: from expressive faces to landscapes, from vibrant flowers to abstract compositions, she seeks above all to capture the essence of emotion. To bring her visions to life, she layers and blends acrylics, pigments, and ink, creating plays of transparency and depth. The use of materials is central to her approach: she sculpts the paint as much as she applies it. Each canvas is an invitation to experience the poetry of the moment.
