Description
This is a very expressive and contemporary portrait, blending realism with free-flowing brushstrokes. We see a woman's face, rendered in a relatively soft and realistic style: the features are delicate, the gaze direct, almost melancholic, with clear, expressive eyes. The rosy cheeks and pale lips convey a sense of fragility and restrained emotion. The contrast is striking with the almost electric yellow hair. The paint flows, as if energy were overflowing the frame. This vibrant color draws the eye and creates an impression of movement. The black background further accentuates this intensity, highlighting the face and the neon colors. At the bottom of the painting, the nervous, intertwined abstract lines of red, pink, and yellow suggest clothing. The fluorescent yellow and black frame extends the artwork.
Presentation
Self-taught painter Myriam Bourianne explores art as a realm of freedom. Free from academic constraints, she has built her universe on experimentation and a dialogue with materials. Her work defies categorization: from expressive faces to landscapes, from vibrant flowers to abstract compositions, she seeks above all to capture the essence of emotion. To bring her visions to life, she layers and blends acrylics, pigments, and ink, creating plays of transparency and depth. The use of materials is central to her approach: she sculpts the paint as much as she applies it. Each canvas is an invitation to experience the poetry of the moment.
