A calm, still figure gazes toward light pouring through a window — mirroring how Sundanese ancestors read guidance, meaning, and hope from illumination entering quiet, sheltered spaces. Above, vivid branching networks expand outward, showing how that light has grown in reach — flowing through pathways of shared knowledge that now link every corner of the globe.

In the spirit of Silih Asah, Silih Asih, Silih Asuh — mutual refinement, affection, and care — the window is never a barrier but a point of exchange: within, we safeguard heritage and wisdom; beyond, we welcome fresh developments; between, we weave them into one clear, unified vision.

Bold, expressive brushwork and naturally appearing bursts of brilliance give this work an authentically human quality — a living moment of presence: watching, waiting, and receiving exactly what the light of a new era brings.

Every layer was built through a process unique to Jono Sugiartono — volcanic stone, crushed seashells, natural fibers, and glass fused into a surface that carries geological history and cultural memory. A work that can never be reproduced — the precise rhythm, pressure, and inner state that produced each flowing mark will never occur again.
