Traces in Nature, 2026

Aram Yengibaryan

A powerful exploration of contrast and movement. This mixed media painting balances raw energy with structured form. A deep blue sky dominates the upper half. It feels atmospheric and heavy. A sudden burst of red disrupts this serenity. The pigment bleeds downward. It suggests a visceral emotion or a natural phenomenon. Below, a vivid green expanse anchors the composition. This lower plane is punctuated by rhythmic white strokes. These pale shapes float like clouds or stones across a landscape. The application is gestural and spontaneous. The artist employs a layered technique to create depth. Textures vary from smooth washes to thick, impasto-like applications. There is a constant tension between the organic and the abstract. The gaze moves from the stability of the ground to the volatility of the horizon. This artwork captures a moment of flux. It evokes a sense of spiritual or physical passage. The composition is finished with a precise signature and date in the lower right corner.
