Fight, 2026

Aram Yengibaryan

This abstract composition explores the tension between structure and chaos. The canvas breathes through a sophisticated play of textures. Heavy, dark masses anchor the lower half of the artwork. These organic shapes bleed into vertical drips. They suggest a sense of gravity and dissolution.
Above this weight, a luminous blue rectangle floats. It provides a sudden, ethereal contrast to the earthy tones below. Thin, energetic lines arc across the upper register. They resemble nervous systems or weathered branches. These gestures create a rhythmic movement that guides the eye across the surface.
The artist employs a mixed media approach to build depth. Layers of paint overlap and erode. Some areas remain translucent while others feel dense and opaque. This interplay evokes a feeling of metamorphosis. The palette balances muted greys and browns with sharp bursts of cerulean and white. Each stroke feels intentional yet spontaneous. The final result is a meditative study on change and instability. The composition concludes with delicate streaks of paint that descend toward the bottom edge.
