Red Sun, 2026

Aram Yengibaryan

This abstract composition explores the tension between structure and chaos. Vibrant yellow dominates the upper register. It creates a luminous backdrop for a bold, crimson splash. This red pigment drips downward. It suggests a raw, visceral energy. Broad white strokes cut horizontally across the center. They act as luminous barriers. They separate the warmth above from the cool depths below.
The lower half shifts toward an organic palette. A vivid green field emerges. It evokes a sense of nature or growth. Grey, textured masses flank the sides. They anchor the composition with a heavy, mineral presence. The artist employs mixed media to build a rich surface. Layering creates a palpable depth. Each gesture feels intentional yet spontaneous. The interplay of colors suggests a state of flux. It captures a moment of evolution. The artwork balances aggressive drips with serene washes. It concludes with a dark, horizontal band that grounds the entire visual experience.
