Description
This abstract composition plays on contrasts and fluidity. The acrylic spreads here according to a fluid painting technique. The eye is immediately captured by a dark and sharp horizon line. It separates the plane into two mirror zones.
The top and bottom respond to each other in a chromatic dialogue. Shades of intense pink mix with luminous whites. Organic and circular shapes emerge, evoking a stylized floral nature. These colored cells seem to float in a liquid current.
The artist transfers their initial expertise from glass to canvas. This search for transparency and fusion is found again. The material still seems in motion, like a chemical reaction caught in the moment. The visual rendering suggests a natural and rhythmic effervescence. This piece made in 2023 explores the balance between structure and improvisation. The whole unfolds in a generous format where pink dominates the peripheral areas.
Presentation
Ghislaine Chapuis now expresses her creativity by painting canvases inspired by the fluid acrylic painting technique.
This fascinating technique, in which she has trained, has opened up new creative horizons, giving rise to paintings of astonishing colorful effervescence.
This new artistic path follows a long creative journey that Ghislaine Chapuis began by training at the Centre Européen de Recherche et de Formation aux Arts Verriers in Vannes-le-Châtel, France, where she learned the "Glass Fusing" technique, which involves assembling pieces of glass at high temperature.
Perfecting her skills, the creation of decorative glass pieces gradually led her to create glass paintings, then to imagine acrylic paintings offering the possibility of larger formats.
