Description
Hulk is a monumental work by Cédric Lascours, known as Reso, which revisits one of the most emblematic characters of popular culture through a contemporary urban aesthetic.
The composition, centered on a face framed in an extreme close-up, plays on a striking duality between light and darkness. Half of the face disappears into a deep black while the other is revealed by a palette of luminous greens, translating the permanent tension between self-control and brute power that characterizes the character. The gaze, intense and penetrating, immediately captures attention and creates a real presence in the space.
Around the portrait, Reso integrates his graphic vocabulary inspired by street art: interweavings of black lines, abstract shapes, vertical drips, and touches of turquoise blue that bring rhythm, contrast, and depth. This fusion between hyper-expressive figuration and urban abstraction gives the work a strong identity, on the border of pop art and contemporary art.
With its size of 150 × 150 cm, Hulk establishes itself as a centerpiece intended to become the focal point of a contemporary interior, a loft, or a private collection. Its balance between visual power, technical refinement, and references to popular culture allows it to appeal to both lovers of urban art and collectors of contemporary works.
Created in 2013, this canvas is a unique original work, accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and signed by the artist.
