Description
Original screenprint – Exceptional edition of only 12 copies - Signed by hand by RNST - Numbering 5/12.
With "I like a fight," RNST delivers a work that is at once provocative, ironic, and deeply rooted in the imagination of Street Art.
Facing the viewer, a young boy in a helmet displays a wide smile and proudly brandishes his boxing glove. Behind this apparent innocence lies a much more subversive image: that of a child who already claims his taste for confrontation, rebellion, and freedom.
The vertical slogan that crosses the composition immediately sets the tone:
“I LIKE A FIGHT"
A phrase intentionally direct, almost childlike, which contrasts with the graphic power of the character.
And it is precisely this contrast that gives this creation all its strength.
He has not yet grown up.
He has not yet learned to fight.
But he has already chosen his side.
Helmet on his head, boxing glove raised, smile to his ears...
He seems ready.
Ready to get into the ring.
Ready to defy the rules.
Ready to send conventions tumbling.
And yet, his face remains that of a child.
This is where RNST instills all the ambiguity of his work.
Is it really an invitation to violence?
Or is it rather a metaphor for this energy that pushes us, from childhood, to confront the world?

Presentation
Street actor and screen-graffiti artist since the mid-1990s, fan of alternative cultures, RNST explores and has fun with urban art in forms as diverse as graffiti, poster creation, collage and stencils. From 2009 he officially reinvested in the streets around intense work with stencils and gluing of screen prints. His workshop is a street outpost in which he mixes recipes, colors and genres. RNST's speech and work are imbued with two constants: provocative and romanticism. This graphic activist reminds us that current events and public space must not escape us and this is where the artist comes to position himself.
