Description
A night scene captures the subdued effervescence of a Parisian evening. The composition revolves around the monumental architecture of an emblematic establishment. The gaze follows the anonymous silhouettes crossing the square.
The artist uses their mastery of geometry to structure the space. The perspectives are precise. Light becomes the central subject. It bursts from the lanterns and shop windows to flood the wet ground.
The contrast between the dark sky and the golden hues creates a serene atmosphere. Every detail emphasizes the calm of a suspended moment. Orangey reflections stretch on the pavement, guiding the eye towards the background of the scene.
This creation from digital illustration combines technical rigor and figurative sensitivity. The rendering is sharp. The composition favors the play of reflections and urban depth.
Realized in 2026, this work is a high-definition digigraph on paper. It stages passersby and public lighting in front of a sculpted facade.
Presentation
It was on the sidelines of his scientific studies that Matthieu Forichon felt in love with drawing and learned to make images. Self-taught, geometry and mathematics still brought him perspectives and rigor in his artistic approach. With an engineering degree in hand, he finally decided to devote himself entirely to illustration. He quickly began to carry out commissioning work for French and then international brands.
Lyonnais at heart, he has always been in love with the atmosphere of cafes, he met the painter Jacques Truphémus and together, they talked about painting for long hours and thanks to his kindness and his advices, Matthieu Forichon started to paint on the sidelines of his work as a digital illustrator.
Passionate about atmospheres and play of light, his figurative painting brushes silent atmospheres where the gaze likes to get lost.
