Obsidian Breath is a large-format contemporary abstract artwork, entirely handcrafted and sculpted by the artist Maria Ruisi. This unique piece explores matter as a living language, between mineral density and luminous breath.
The deep relief, worked layer upon layer, creates a vibrant surface where light glides, catches, and transforms depending on the angle of view. The sculpted textures reveal a silent, almost telluric energy, evoking the meeting of fire and earth, of shadow and awakening.
The color palette—deep emerald green, volcanic brown, and obsidian black—lends the work a presence that is both elegant and powerful. Each shade subtly shifts depending on the light, offering a constantly renewed interpretation.
