Biography
Thierry Corpet, alias Raymond X est un artiste français, né en 1965 qui vit et travaille à Corte en Corse.
"S'inspirant de la technique du « cut up », inventée par William Burroughs, Thierry Corpet est un artiste atypique qui crée des œuvres hybrides et contemporaines où se superposent des formes géométriques, des logos, des sigles, des pictogrammes, des silhouettes pixelisées, des codes-barres, symbolisant avec une légèreté nécessaire le monde d'aujourd'hui dans une forme de poème graphique entre figuration et abstraction.
Analogie à l'écologie, ses toiles comme ses sculptures témoignent de la somme de biens et de choses que l'on accumule, consciemment ou non, dans nos cerveaux comme autant de placards remplis de désuets fragments de vie."
