Geometrical shapes N°8, 2022

Aurélie Trabaud   New & remarkable Artists

This artwork incorporates geometric shapes and subtle colors and captures attention from the first glance. The painting, with a vertical composition, presents a harmonious yet complex composition that immediately attracts the viewer's eye. At the center of the canvas, an abstract figure emerges, composed of triangles, circles and diamonds. The upper triangle, in shades of forest green and ochre, crowns the figure, evoking a structure that is both stable and in motion. Below, a bright yellow circle forms a luminous center, similar to a sun or a symbolic head, delicately connecting the different shapes together. The burnt orange and olive green hues of the intermediate shapes intertwine, suggesting fluidity and internal dynamics. Then, the eye is guided to the base of the central structure, where a deep blue triangle and a navy blue diamond intensify the contrast and add depth to the whole. The backdrop smoothly shifts between pastel shades of blue, green and cream, creating a serene and ethereal setting that highlights the boldness of the geometric shapes in the center. Small details, such as scattered green dots, add an extra dimension to the work, reinforcing its intriguing and captivating character. This painting is not only an exploration of geometry and color, but a subtle representation of balance and unity. Each shape, each hue is chosen with impeccable precision, resulting in a composition that is both harmonious and full of life.
