Description
The 'Souveraines' collection pays tribute to women from all eras and cultures, celebrating their strength, their singularity and their imperfection. Each work explores the richness of their experiences, their struggles and their resilience in the face of the challenges of time.
Painted in oil with a knife, this series relies on expressive colors and textures to convey deep emotions. Inspired by expressionism and Mexican muralism, 'Souveraines' invites us to reflect on the power, fragility and universal beauty of women.
The flower adornment is inspired by a great artist, Frida Kahlo, one of whose poems gave the title to my work.
Presentation
Born in Mexico and living in France, Patricia Pierre Gomez Baranda considers herself a citizen of the world, deeply committed to tolerance and diversity. She creates abstract and expressive works where colors, shapes, and textures form the core of her artistic language. With an acute sensitivity, she conveys emotions through the joys of everyday life, universal beauty, and social or historical reflections.
Patricia invites you to contemplate and reflect with creations that emphasize expression over perfection.
Her watercolor and oil paintings draw energy from Van Gogh's brushstrokes, Turner's storms, and the intensity of Orozco's murals.
