Description
This painting is executed in an Impressionist manner, using impasto technique and a delicate, muted palette. The foreground shows two large sailing vessels with white sails reflected in the calm water. Details of the ships are visible: life rings, ropes, small flags on the masts. In the distance, against the pale gray sky and water, two smaller sailboats can be seen, slightly blurred, which lends depth to the composition.
The artist conveys an atmosphere of serenity, sea breeze and a quiet harbor. The reflections in the water are rendered in soft strokes, creating an effect of shimmer and gentle movement. Birds soaring above the water add dynamism. In the lower right corner are the signature and the date: 202
