Description
Medium format inspired by rock engravings: horses, female bodies, mysterious graphics. The lines become tangled and the shapes take on other meanings depending on which angle you focus on. Harmony of ochres, browns and yellows with some pink nuances. This canvas — which can be installed in any direction — is the "sister" of "One day you will understand what I want to tell you": same theme, same colors, same dimensions. Exhibited together, the two canvases can be placed side by side or one above the other, the lines extending from one to the other as in a diptych.
Presentation
Born in 1952, FranSoisT paints and photographs. François Thiéry-Mourelet (for the civil status) signs his paintings "Fransoist" or "FsT". His works combine elegant women, powerful nature, dreams (or nightmares), cats, horses and gentle monsters. If the technique is classical (use of sfumato, verdaccio and glazing), the compositions are complex. The brushstroke, quick and oblique, superimposes natural or burnt earths (ochres, greens, browns, reds...) and blues. He also has a work as a watercolorist, illustrator of children's books and photographer. Since 1984, he has exhibited in Modena, Geneva, Cleveland, Thonon-les-Bains, Paray-le-Monial, Cachan, Saint-Ouen, Arcueil, Barbizon, Paris...
