Making Waves, 2026

Sven

Sven, a French graffiti artist born in 1988 in Mulhouse, is recognized for his distinctive approach to street art. His passion for graffiti began during his train journeys, where he was captivated by the intricate graffiti adorning train stations, wagons, and railcars. This exposure inspired him to join the local graffiti scene, where he developed his unique style. Known for his rounded letterforms, often referred to as Flop and Trow-up, Sven's graffiti is designed to be accessible and readable, ensuring his art resonates with a wide audience.

Sven's latest artistic endeavors include large-scale graffiti murals and innovative public art projects that further push the boundaries of graffiti and urban expression. His recent artworks focus on combining his street art roots with fine art elements, creating captivating pieces that challenge the perception of graffiti. Sven continues to collaborate with leading artists and exhibit his work in prominent galleries and art spaces. His bold, colorful, and contemporary graffiti remains at the cutting edge of the urban art movement.

Sven's artistic practice is grounded in the desire to make graffiti more approachable while injecting vibrant colors into unexpected urban spaces. Over the years, he has transitioned to working on canvas and experimenting with texture, layering materials to enhance the depth of his work, all while maintaining the legibility of his signature rounded letters. Collaborating with other artists, he has brought graffiti to new heights, incorporating it into sculptures by Laurence Dreano and David Zeller, and exploring how street art can transcend traditional boundaries. As a member of the TVC and SCHLAGER collectives, Sven actively participates in organizing graffiti exhibitions and installations, contributing to the growth and visibility of urban art in the contemporary art world.
