Tidal Axis Triptych 240x140 cm, 2026

Tidal Axis is an original contemporary abstract triptych from my Oceanic Geometry collection, created in 2026. This one-of-a-kind set of three acrylic paintings explores the quiet relationship between architecture, water, and light through balanced geometry, layered textures, and atmospheric abstraction.

Rather than illustrating a specific coastal location, the triptych captures the invisible rhythm shared by modern architecture and the sea. Strong vertical forms create a sense of structure, while broad horizontal passages evoke calm water stretching toward distant horizons. Across the three canvases, reflections, geometry, and light flow naturally together, forming a panoramic composition that feels both expansive and peaceful.

Created through multiple layers of professional acrylic paint using palette knives, brushes, scraping techniques, and expressive gestural mark-making, each painting reveals exceptional tactile richness and material depth. The textured surfaces respond beautifully to changing natural light, allowing subtle tonal variations and intricate details to emerge throughout the day.

A refined palette of ivory white, soft blue, pale grey, charcoal black, warm taupe, earthy brown, and deep espresso creates a timeless contemporary atmosphere. Cool blue tones suggest still water and open skies, while darker architectural forms introduce rhythm, contrast, and visual stability. The restrained colour palette creates a sophisticated balance between calmness and strength.

Although entirely abstract, often evokes luxury marinas, waterfront architecture, reflective harbours, and peaceful coastal landscapes. Existing between geometric abstraction and atmospheric landscape, the composition encourages personal interpretation while conveying openness, harmony, and quiet sophistication.

Its panoramic format makes this triptych an ideal statement artwork for contemporary homes, luxury residences, boutique hotels, executive offices, reception areas, galleries, and yacht interiors. The elegant neutral palette integrates beautifully into Scandinavian, Japandi, minimalist, coastal contemporary, organic modern, and modern luxury interiors.

Part of my Oceanic Geometry collection, continues my exploration of the hidden relationship between architecture and nature, where geometry becomes reflection and the rhythm of the sea is expressed through structure rather than representation.
