Description
The artist explores here a dialogue between abstraction and figuration. The composition unfolds through a superposition of materials. The acrylic stretches into broad areas of color. The deep blue meets shades of pink and ochre.
A dark and organic form dominates the center of the canvas. It seems to float on a luminous background. Ornamental motifs are inserted precisely into the shadow areas. These graphic details bring a rigorous structure to the apparent chaos of the pigments.
The gesture is free. The brush gives way to intuition. The light seems to emanate from the heart of the support to illuminate the contours. This piece, made in 2024, plays on chromatic contrasts. It mixes the fluidity of aquatic hues with the density of a central form almost sculptural.
The eye circulates between the areas of transparency and the impasto. The whole creates a visual balance between force and lightness. The acrylic technique here allows for the achievement of sharp transitions and opaque superimpositions.
Presentation
To liberate, through painting and writing, the themes that are dear to my heart.
After attending several workshops and working with different techniques, I chose watercolor and acrylic a few years ago.
This nuanced and sensitive approach reflects my personality. That's why I practice watercolor with mixed media on canvas or paper (watercolor, acrylic, collage, ink), and gravitate towards semi-abstract or abstract art. This pictorial path, this "process" of mine, stimulates my creativity, grants me joyful freedom in the interplay of colors, and opens me up to a dreamlike world.
I mostly paint "intuitively," meaning I apply colors according to my mood, collages, water, and let it dry.
I work on wet paper, progressing according to the drying times. Then I examine my painting from all angles to identify what my subconscious has wanted to reveal. This allows me to paint and write about themes close to my heart: the protection of children and the vulnerable, of nature, and of the abuse of power. I then work on what emerges until the piece is complete.
My painting is free, fluid, easy… and comes directly from my soul. It is a reflection of my unconscious.
I published my first book in 2022, "The Power of the Soul: Being Yourself in Transparency." I just published my second book in 2023, "Creative at Heart: The Intuitive Breath." A few words accompany the presentation of my works, but each reader is free to interpret them as they see fit.
