Custodios de Nuestra Historia, 2026

Dolores Deloma Sanchez

This energetic composition bridges the gap between ancient history and modern abstraction. Bold strokes of crimson and deep blue collide with textured neutral tones. The surface vibrates with raw intensity. A fragmented classical relief emerges from the chaos. Figures in draped robes suggest a lost civilization. They stand frozen amidst a storm of pigment and grit.
The artist employs a mixed-media approach to create physical depth. Layers of paint are scraped and piled. This process evokes the feeling of an archaeological excavation. The tension between the structured figures and the spontaneous splashes creates a powerful visual dialogue. It explores the persistence of memory through the lens of decay.
A fragment of printed text anchors the bottom left corner. It adds a conceptual layer to the tactile experience. The contrast between the pale stone hues and the vivid primary colors drives the movement of the eye. Every inch of the canvas feels alive. The artwork captures a moment of collision between order and entropy. It culminates in a dense cluster of dark, organic shapes that anchor the right side of the frame.
