Description
A serene composition defined by restraint and precision. This oil painting captures a moment of absolute stillness. A white bowl holds a cluster of luminous green pears. Their organic curves contrast with the rigid silhouette of a slender bottle in the background. To the left, a single egg rests in a cup. A solitary spoon lies beside it. The palette remains muted. Soft whites and pale creams create a luminous, airy atmosphere. Each object is rendered with a refined, academic touch. The artist transforms ordinary domestic items into symbols of quiet contemplation. Light washes over the surfaces. It reveals subtle textures and gentle gradients of color. This artwork explores the poetry of the everyday. It evokes a sense of timelessness through a minimalist arrangement. The balance of shapes creates a rhythmic harmony. The scene invites the viewer into a space of meditative silence. Every element is placed with intentionality. The focus remains on the purity of form and the softness of the light.
Presentation
Claudine Picard is a French artist born in 1949 who lives and works in Sainte Marie, France. She is graduatedfrom the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD). Nature is for the artiste an infinite source of inspiration. Her work is experimental research, she is inspired by everyday life through figurative expression as a revisited academicism. Claudine provokes the imagination and the reminiscence of memories, lost and poetic emotions by matching symbolic subjects with inhabited and mysterious objects. These in their immobile presence and the fixity of their stripping induces a fascination. Still life immerses us in an atmosphere where the components chosen by associations of shapes and climates resonate each others. Painting is for the artist the search for an aesthetic emotion. As in the way of naturalists entomologists or botanists, she groupes by themes and materials, elements that make up her paintings.
