"Garden Bouquet" is an original contemporary floral still life by French artist Natalya Mougenot, painted in her distinctive metamodern expressionist style with oil on stretched canvas. Measuring 46 × 55 × 2 cm (18.1 × 21.7 × 0.8 inches), this one-of-a-kind artwork is part of the artist's ongoing Still Life Floral Series, celebrating the spontaneous beauty of freshly gathered garden flowers through vibrant color, expressive brushwork, and emotional authenticity.

In "Garden Bouquet", a generous arrangement of white blossoms and vivid orange flowers emerges from a translucent glass vase, set against a luminous background of soft coral pinks, fresh greens, and warm peach tones. Rather than depicting each flower with botanical precision, Mougenot captures the joyful sensation of standing before a bouquet picked moments earlier from a blooming garden. Broad, confident brushstrokes and richly layered oils create movement, light, and atmosphere, allowing the painting to radiate life far beyond the boundaries of realism.

"Flowers are nature's purest language of joy. I never paint what they look like—I paint how they make me feel." — Natalya Mougenot

Natalya Mougenot's work is rooted in metamodernism, where sincerity, hope, and emotional truth replace irony and detachment. Each painting becomes an invitation to slow down and reconnect with beauty through instinct, memory, and feeling. Visible brushstrokes preserve the energy of the creative act, making every work deeply personal and unmistakably original.

Her unique visual language has been shaped by an admiration for masters such as Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Pierre Bonnard, Raoul Dufy, and David Hockney. While inspired by their bold exploration of color and expressive freedom, Mougenot has developed a contemporary painterly voice that is entirely her own—one where color becomes emotion and gesture becomes storytelling.

"I paint with vibrant colors because they carry hope. Color speaks before words do, and I want my paintings to bring light, optimism, and generosity into everyday life." — Natalya Mougenot

The luminous palette of emerald greens, brilliant oranges, creamy whites, and glowing pinks transforms this bouquet into a celebration of abundance and renewal. Thick, confident oil brushwork gives the surface a tactile richness, inviting viewers to experience not only the image but also the physical pleasure of paint itself.

Painted with professional-quality oil paints on stretched canvas, Garden Bouquet is finished and ready to hang, making it an effortless addition to any art collection.
