Géométries solaire - Disque solaire, 2026

Aurélie Trabaud   New & remarkable Artists

This piece is part of a corpus of ten works where the work on the color yellow and embroidery meet, two gestures that structure a research on light, matter, and the vibration of forms.

Initially, the surface is exposed to the sun, allowing the support to reveal imprints with variations of hues. These lighter and darker areas become the first architecture of the image. This solar and luminous base then serves as the field of intervention.

On this revealed imprint, the artist applies an extra-fine acrylic stamping technique, depositing the color by pressure rather than by brushing. This creates velvety flat areas, soft transitions, and a chromatic presence that seems to breathe. The central circle, vibrant and warm, acts as a solar core around which the composition is organized.

Some lines embroidered in an inverted triangle punctuate the whole. They establish a vertical rhythm, a tactile counterpoint that dialogues with the softness of the pigments. The embroidery, fine and minimal, anchors the piece in a sensitive materiality and adds an almost meditative dimension. The whole evokes a minimalist and conceptual landscape.
The entire was made with high-end materials whose paper is 10% cotton satin grain paper 30g/m².
The work is signed on the back with a full signature.
