Molten Signal, Circa 2025

Maria Ruisi

Molten Signal (2025) is a unique abstract painting by Maria Ruisi, created with acrylic and pouring techniques on canvas.

Against a silver-grey field, an incandescent current of orange, violet, turquoise, pink and black travels through the composition like a transmission crossing an undefined space. The fluid pigments form layered contours, cellular details and branching passages that suggest heat, movement and continuous transformation.

The upper form gathers chromatic density before releasing a long, luminous trail across the lower part of the canvas. This movement gives the work the character of a signal: concentrated at its source, then stretched by distance without losing its intensity.

Ruisi balances the spontaneous behaviour of pouring with deliberate control of direction, colour and negative space. The exposed silver-grey canvas becomes an active field of silence around the chromatic movement, increasing the visual power of the central form.

The handwritten message on the reverse reads:

“Color melts into a burning trace,
A signal moving through endless space."

Molten Signal is an entirely handmade original artwork and a unique piece, 1/1. It is signed “R. Maria" on the front lower right and signed again on the reverse. The reverse also records the title, technique, year, dimensions and inventory number.

The painting is delivered mounted on a hardwood stretcher, without a decorative frame. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Abstract Art Gallery and a lifetime authenticity guarantee. Professionally packed and shipped by insured courier from Riga, Latvia.
