Natalya Mougenot   Best sellers

"Garden Glow" is an original contemporary floral painting by French artist Natalya Mougenot, created in expressive acrylic on heavyweight professional acid-free paper, measuring 29.7 × 42 cm (11.69 × 16.54 in).

For Natalya, painting flowers is not simply about representing nature. Flowers are a way of speaking about life, emotion, beauty, fragility and renewal. They are delicate, but they also carry an incredible sense of vitality. A flower can bloom, fade, and bloom again — and this simple cycle has something deeply human about it.

In Garden Glow, the flowers are not painted as precise botanical studies. Natalya allows them to become more expressive, almost alive with movement. Their forms emerge through energetic brushstrokes, layers of colour and visible gestures. The painting is less about asking “What does this flower look like?" and more about asking “What does this flower make me feel?"

This is also why colour is so important in Natalya's art. She does not use bright colours simply to make a painting decorative. Colour is her emotional language. Red can carry passion and vitality, yellow can suggest warmth and joy, blue can bring depth and calm, while green connects the flowers to the living energy of nature. Together, these colours create an atmosphere that is vibrant, optimistic and full of movement.

Natalya is drawn to flowers because they allow her to paint with freedom. She can simplify, exaggerate and transform reality without losing its emotional truth. The visible brushstrokes are an important part of this process: they preserve the energy of the artist's hand and the spontaneity of the moment. Nothing needs to be perfectly controlled.

At the heart of her approach is the belief that art should make us feel something before we try to explain it. A painting can bring a little more colour, energy and light into everyday life. For Natalya, this is one of the reasons she paints: to transform an ordinary subject into an emotional experience and to create images that can reconnect us with simple feelings of joy, beauty and aliveness.

Garden Glow therefore becomes more than a bouquet of flowers. It is a celebration of vitality, colour and the simple beauty of being alive — an invitation to pause, look closely and let the colours speak.
