Born in 1975, Marek Okrassa is a Polish painter.
Marek Okrassa studied painting and drawing at the School of Fine Arts of Gdansk. He obtained twice an scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Arts.
Marek has received several awards for his work such as the Eperon d'Argent in 2000 and the award of the Franciszka Eibisch Foundation.
His art work is associated with a sociological study of man since he depicts human nature in his poetic and complex pieces. He shows us the power of attraction and of beauty which he sees through each movement, each human expression.
Marek Okrassa is a great observer but specially a big worker. He makes several sketches and takes notes of different typical behaviors which he scrutinizes. He wants to reveal the personality of each human being that he paints, extracting the chaos of his usual environment .
