What began as a pretext to exercise MIguel Wynograd's gaze, little by little became a meditation on different intertwined temporalities. The superposition of very ancient times with dynamic and fleeting cycles: from the geological time of formation of those mountains, through the recurring periods of flowering and decay of plant life, to the immediate oscillation of a climate that oscillates between extremes: all stations in a day, sometimes in an hour or less. And at the same time, traces of many pasts persist in a spectral present. Ghosts. Melancholic friars wandering in the fog. Land of deities and demons.

This captivating black-and-white photograph masterfully captures the ethereal beauty of a fog-laden mountainous landscape. Dominated by striking, spiky plants in the foreground, their unique forms create a dramatic contrast against the misty, indistinct peaks in the background. The choice of monochrome enhances the textures and intricate details of the foliage, drawing the viewer's eye to the complexity of nature's designs. The fog, cloaking the distant mountains, adds an element of mystery, inviting contemplation and exploration beyond the visible. This image is a testament to the harmonious interplay between light, shadow, and form, evoking a profound sense of solitude and timelessness. The composition’s depth and natural elements are skillfully balanced, offering an immersive experience that captures the viewer's imagination and celebrates the raw, untouched beauty of this serene, high-altitude environment.
