Description
For 'Bismuth Crystal Transmutation', Weis plays with the reality of what a painting is and what a silkscreen can be, as she creates her own unique hybrid method of painting and silkscreen printmaking (typically done in simulated multiple editions) through the process of printing through a blank silkscreen, deemed 'Polymonotype', creating a multi-layered fusion of these aspects. This work is an abstrated interpretation of a Bismuth crystal as a talisman and imagery based on vivid dreams of the artist.
